What’s Up Fish Lips?

I get a lot of questions about what kind of books I have worked on and at least one of my friends
enjoys looking at my Client Shelf when he comes to visit.

“Just to see what is new” he says. So I have decided to make the third week the month a time that
I use this post to highlight one my client’s – Cheryl Mobley’s book.

To start the process I give you a look inside her book What’s Up Fish Lips? It is not about
fishing, in fact it has very little to do with fishing, that was a phrase that her father would use to greet
people that came to visit him in his garage.

For Cheryl that was an endless parade of visitors, her Dad was never short of friends, and as a
high school teacher he had more than a few former students stop by. Cheryl shared her Dad with a lot of
people and there were times that she would have rather had some time with him being just her Dad.
Those feelings did not keep her from realizing how much influence he had on her and how much
their relationship meant to both of them.

Cheryl used the inheritance from her Dad’s estate to publish the book that is a tribute to him, but
not in the typical put him on a pedestal kind of way. She tells the story of her Dad with her tongue firmly
planted in her cheek at times -the title tells you that. She does a good job of paying tribute to the man who
influenced her through much of her life.

Cheryl Mobley was a pleasure to work with, and we decided from the beginning she would tell
the stories straight ahead and let people learn what she already knew. Her dad loved people.
She tells a great story about attending the Atlanta Olympics on a whim and it being great family
event, short on planning but long on adventure.

Her book is available on Amazon.
